Smorgasbord 2020 Cancellation

Dear Camden-Frontier Families,

In light of the governor's declaration of a State of Emergency surrounding the coronavirus, and in consultation with the county health department, we have sadly chosen to cancel Saturday’s 53rd annual Smorgasbord. This difficult decision has been taken out of an abundance of caution for every member of our community including our students, volunteers and attendees.

As you know, Smorgasbord is C-F’s longest running and most important fundraiser. The funds generated by our hard-working students are used to pay for their senior class trip to Washington, D.C. This year, our juniors have worked incredibly hard and have sold more tickets and advertising than ever before. It is heartbreaking that circumstances have led us to this decision. We intend to do everything in our power to recognize their work and protect their investment of time.

If you would like to donate the cost of your tickets to the junior class to help cover the overhead costs already paid and support their trip next year, your generosity would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to request a refund of your tickets, however, please complete the form to the right. Refunds will be processed and mailed over the next 30-45 days. We fully respect whatever decision you make but ask for your patience during this unprecedented situation.

If you purchased a 50/50 raffle ticket, that drawing will still take place on Monday and the winner will be contacted immediately.

If you are a Smorgasbord advertiser, a member of our staff will be in touch about alternative advertising opportunities or refunds soon.

With regard to all other school functions, our administration is in daily - and sometimes hourly - contact with the county and state health departments, Hillsdale ISD, Michigan Department of Education and Michigan High School Athletic Association. As always, the C-F Board of Education and administration will continue to make decisions that place the health and safety of our students and families above all other considerations. Look forward to regular coronavirus updates in the days ahead.

If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at (517) 368-5255 or click here to email me.

Thank you,

Chris
